I was paging through a very old National Geographic magazine when I was confronted by a photo of a building that had been bombed. It was a night club on the island of Corsica, and the motive for the bombing was speculative. The name of the club, which was still in tact and on the front of the building, was ‘Amnesia’. I don’t know why this image grabbed my attention, but it did and this painting spilled out.
